Barrington, Illinois: Trondent has developed an automated solution for managing the cumbersome and often inefficient process associated with reviewing and approving employee travel. AirWEB Authorizer®, to be released in May, gives managers the tool they need to better control the T & E expenses of their respective staffs without generating additional work for the booking agent or traveler. "Corporate Travel Managers have long expressed the need for an automated solution that could simplify and streamline the travel authorization process so that the costs of managing the process didn't outweigh the savings benefits. AirWEB Authorizer® accomplishes this goal and there is already indication that companies that avoided the authorization process in the past, now see it as a viable cost savings strategy," says Trondent COO, Lana Parro. The true value of the system is in the simplicity and flexibility of the process. Prior to a trip being ticketed, the authorizing manager receives a notification email that can be immediately approved or rejected, or the manager can choose to view itinerary data for all direct reports via a secure web site. If the trip is authorized, it is queued back to the agency for ticketing, along with a notification email sent to the traveler. If rejected, a written explanation is provided to the traveler via email and the agency is notified. In both cases, the PNR is documented with the name of the authorizing manager along with the date and time of the decision. Trondent Development Corp. is a leading provider of software solutions to the travel industry. Trondent products are compatible with all five GDS and are utilized by agency, online booking, meeting management and corporate/institutional organizations worldwide. | |
